i am a beginner into SLR photography and there are two bundles that I am looking at . They are the same bundle with the same 75-300mm lense, however the 450d bundle is £120 more at £664.
What I want to know at the moment is, is it worth paying that extra amount of money for the 450d.
I will be using the camerea for movement sports such as motorsport and football as well as general photography.
Would it be better to get the 1000d and then upgrade to a better camera thatn the 450d?

The 1000D will be fine. Buy the cheaper camera and put some extra money into a better lens. Unless the 75-300mm is the version with USM it is not a very good lens. The focus is slow and like other consumer level telephoto lenses the aperture is small.
In my opinion you would be better off getting the 1000D with the 18-55mm kit lens and then purchasing either the Canon EFs 55-250mm IS lens or the EF 70-300mm IS lens. Both lenses are much better quality than the 75-300mm.
Lenses are much more important than the camera body so as a beginner it is almost always best to invest in lenses and buy the cheaper camera body. Lenses also last a lifetime while cameras are obsolete in a few years.
