Sony DSC-S2100B Cyber-shot Digital Camera

by Roevie on March 28, 2010

The Sony DSCS2100B Cybershot Digital Camera has a large 3.0 LCD makes taking and viewing pictures easy with the DSC-S2100. With 12MP resolution and 3x zoom great shots can be taken from greater distances plus enjoy the convenience of AA battery operation with the Sony DSCS2100B Cybershot Digital Camera. Features including Easy mode, iauto and steadyshot make it easy to capture great images in various conditions. Pick up your Sony DSCS2100B Cybershot Digital Camera camera today.

The Cyber-shot S2100 holds a obvious location in the ground floor of Sony’s point-and-shoot line, lighter in each cost and functions than its slimmer W and T series counterparts. It is their only compact camera that utilizes AA batteries. Of all of the Cyber-shot versions announced so far this year, the S2100 may be the least costly with an introductory cost hovering just above $100.

The Sony S2100 is really a great beginner’s camera at a reduced cost stage in spite of typical problems with publicity and music levels.

I envision that somebody thinking about the S2100 would like an inexpensive camera for casual shooting circumstances, like vacations or gatherings with buddies and loved ones. An perfect camera will be a breeze to utilize and capture excellent pictures in numerous configurations, and price $100.

The Cyber-shot S2100 hits a couple of of individuals marks. It is simple to utilize; nearly mindlessly so in “Easy” mode. It provides the versatility of dual SD/Memory Stick Pro compatibility and AA battery power. Should you want much more manage more than picture high quality, you are able to adjust metering and publicity compensation. In great light, as well as somewhat dim indoor light, the S2100 created some powerful pictures. You are able to get all individuals functions for any small much more than $100.

Nevertheless, the S2100 misses a couple of marks. Music starting at ISO 400 and some inconsistent exposures may push the S2100 user to depend on flash for difficult circumstances. Picky users might require to experiment having a couple of various metering configurations and publicity compensations prior to discovering that “perfect shot.” The lens is good for its class, but does exhibit some from the standard flaws for example barrel distortion and edge softness.

Pros

* Excellent pictures in great light

* Fair indoor overall performance

* Simple Mode

Cons

* Music at ISO 400

* Digital picture stabilization

* Buttons are little

I dont like the design, very plasticky… AND it neads AA batteries, I think they should have sticked to the rechargable batteries which they already have.

Sony cameras aren’t that great, except for their Alpha DSLRs. $120 isn’t too bad, but if you want great pictures, just save up a little more and buy a Canon, they’re well worth it. But, 12MP is overkill for this.
One last point, I love how he acts like 3x optical zoom is a lot, and says it can get right in on the action. That may be true if you’re only 10 feet away from the subject, but other than that, 3x sucks. If you really want to get in on the action, get a camera with 20x optical zoom.

Sony is great,but I prefer Canon not only for the quality but the color comparison of the Canon cameras I look at where closer to the actual color most people see with the naked eye. Decent review.
