Canon 7D Digital SLR Camera and 28-135MM Lens Bundle

by Roevie on March 29, 2010

Made to be the tool of choice for serious photographers and semi-professionals, the Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera features an all-new 18.0 Megapixel APS-C size CMOS sensor and Dual DIGIC 4 Image Processors, capturing tremendous images at up to ISO 12800 and speeds of up to 8 fps. The Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera has a new all cross-type 19-point AF system with improved AI Servo AF subject tracking and user-selectable AF area selection modes for sharp focus no matter the situation.

The EOS 7D’s Intelligent Viewfinder, an entirely newly-designed technology, provides 100% coverage and displays user-selected AF modes as well as a spot metering circle and on demand grid lines. New ifcl Metering with 63-zone dual-layer metering system uses both focus and color information to provide accurate exposure even in difficult lighting. The EOS 7D also captures Full HD video at 30p (29.97 fps), 24p (23.976 fps) and 25p with an array of manual controls, including manual exposure during movie shooting and ISO speed selection.

The Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera features a magnesium alloy body that is dust- and weather-resistant and shutter durability of up to 150000 cycles. Compatible with over 60 EF and EF-S lenses as well as with EOS System accessories, the creative opportunities – not just with stills but also with video – are beyond amazement.

The Canon 7D DSLR is suitable for all types of photography against a wide range of objectives for both full frame sensor or not.

The respondent contests on EOS 7D comfortably and provides a large number of controls to avoid using the menus. Some buttons require you to think outside the viewfinder to use them properly, but it takes less time than using the main menu.

In terms of performance, the EOS 7D shows some very interesting aspects including low-noise images, excellent definition, fast autofocus, shutter speed. The weak point is the thoroughness of the exposure and color JPEG files. See the complete review for details.

The competition is reduced because only the Pentax K-7 and the Nikon D300 offers the same features. The Q7 is the fastest among them while the K-7 is the richest in terms of functionality as the internal stabilization, automatic correction of the horizon, resistance to cold, tropicalisation, and several other features. The D300 is half in terms of speed but not in terms of functions. The EOS 7D + also the only one of these to record video in 1080p HD.

Canon EOS 7D introduces a new series of machines from Canon. It is the latest top model with a sensor positioned 1.6 multiplication factor in cost between the model 50D and the full frame 5D Mark II. The Canon 7D adds numerous features not found thus far on machines outside the Canon 1D series: 100% coverage viewfinder and body waterproof. It ‘also the first Canon to have built a level indicating the slope.

The 7D is based on a 18-megapixel sensor, capable of values between 100 and ISO 12800, 8 fps in continuous shooting mode and video recording 1080p HDTV. The whole is enclosed in a durable waterproof body pentaprism viewfinder with 100% coverage.
