When I first received this case I was disappointed, thinking my larger point-and-shoot cameras would never fit inside, as the length looked too short. After trying and succeeding in fitting every piece of handheld electronicery in my arsenal, I’m thrilled with it!
Internal dimensions of the large main compartment are: 4 ¾” tall x 3 1/8″ wide x 1 ½” deep (low estimate, probably will fit cameras slightly larger). My Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 fits easily without a struggle, with room for the strap, and enough space to easily remove the camera quickly (this camera measures 4 1/8″ long x 2 ½” wide x 1 3/8″ deep).
Front compartment has a main pocket that’s nearly 4″ deep and over 2″ wide – suitable for extra batteries and whatnot – I tested with two Panasonic and two Canon batteries, both sets fit perfectly without overtaxing the compartment, and there was still room for some cash or small items. A smaller sleeve pocket is located at the inside front flap, this shorter pocket design (2″ long) is perfect for memory cards, which won’t slide to the bottom and be difficult to fish out.
Weighing in at just 2 ounces, it’s surprising how beefy the padding and protection seem to be on this well-made case. Main material appears to be ballistic nylon, and should hold up to years of abuse.
Also included is a long adjustable strap. Back of case has a fixed strap which works well as a handhold, but to use as a belt strap would require the removal of your belt to attach.
This little case will see tons of use, from our Flip video cameras, to our point-and-shoots, to our MP3 players – I think I’m going to need to get a few more of these!
I very rarely give a 5-star review as even the best products have faults, but with this case I find nary a one. A++, 5 Stars, huzzahs all around!

This is a very nice little camera case. This is definitely for a small, COMPACT digital camera — my older, bulkier Canon A95 (which takes 4 AA batteries) won’t fit, but my new Olympus Stylus Tough will. Your camera should be no more than 2 or maybe 2 1/2 inches high, and no wider than about 3 or 3 1/2 inches. (A camera that takes 4 AA batteries is probably too thick and NOT likely to fit.)
This case is VERY well padded — something that I appreciate. Even the little front pocket (that can hold an extra memory card or even a couple of small batteries) is padded. And the front pocket has a little pocket-within-a-pocket, for those teeny tiny new memory cards that would get lost otherwise.
The zippers are nice — they slide smoothly, and there is no annoying “flap” covering them to get caught. Even the zipper pulls are rubbery to make opening and closing the case easier.
The gray color is nice as far as not showing dirt, and also doesn’t look too flashy or “come-steal-my-camera” obvious.
You can wear the case on your belt, and also there’s a shoulder strap, that conveniently clips on or off (so if, like me, you NEVER want to use it, it can stay at home and not take up room and get tangled with everything else in your purse/bag). The strap is adjustable.
Overall though, the best part of this bag is the padding. I have owned a few digital camera bags, but none that I remember being this well padded. It’s padded all around – the front, back, sides AND the bottom and top (often the bottom and top will be unpadded in my experience).
I definitely would recommend this case to a friend!
P.S. My iPod Touch also fits well in this case – not sure if that’s helpful to anyone, but I thought I’d mention it!

Call me silly, but I thought it was a backpack, for a big SLR! It was made like a backpack, so you can’t really know by just looking at the picture.
It’s actually for a small pocket size digital camera. I use it for my Canon SD940IS. I like the casual look that doesn’t draw attention to the camera. If you are traveling in some places in the world where there are pickpockets and thieves, you want to use something as low profile like this as possible to make your camera look cheap. This case serves the purpose. I always try to avoid cases with Canon or Panasonic written clearly on the outside.
It has an extra compartment for batteries and memory chips. And you can wear it on your belt.

My husband and I recently bought a Kodak Zi8 pocket video camera and an extra SD card for it. We were looking for a case that would be small, but provide enough storage for the camera and its accessories. We looked at several but were unimpressed with what we saw. I decided to give this case a try and I’m very pleased with it. It’s a really great value for the price, and I’m happier with it than I think I would have been with a more expensive case.
We recently returned for a 2-week trip to Europe, and we had to juggle a 6-year-old and a 1-year-old in a stroller, along with my husband’s bulky camera and a backpack full of baby supplies, so a small, light case was key. Our Zi8 fits perfectly inside the main pocket, which is very well-padded. The case was extremely lightweight, and I usually wore it around my neck while pushing my son’s stroller. I was very happy with how easily and smoothly it unzipped, which made it a snap for me to slip the camera out to shoot some video and then slide it back in before resuming my stroller pushing. The strap is generously adjustable so that you can wear it around your neck, over your shoulder, or crossed over your chest. I also really appreciated the fact that the strap clips on the sides, so that you can remove it altogether. This proved especially handy when the strap got tangled up in the strap to my husband’s camera bag, as we could just unclip one side of the strap, slide the case off of him, and then reclip the strap.
The front pocket has a tiny little pocket, and our extra SD card fit very snugly into it. There’s also room for the camera’s cords, which I really appreciate. It’s nice to be able to keep all of the gear in one place without having to organize it in a bulky container. I would definitely recommend this case to other Zi8 owners.

I recently purchased the “Opteka SLR & DSLR Camera Short Zoom Holster Case w/Adjustable Shoulder Strap” to house my Canon 40D (with 28-135 mm lens) for an up coming trip abroad. The holster arrived promptly, to my discovery that it is fractionally too short for my camera.
Re-measuring the 40D, with lens, and the Opteka holster revealed that the manufacturer touts its SRL & DSLR case with, apparently, exterior measurements. The camera’s external dimensions wont fit inside the case!
I liked the low price, thick padding, long strap, quick function zipper, handy extra pocket, and black color of this Opteka holster. It is certainly recommended for cameras, with lenses smaller than 7.5″ L by 6.5″ D by 4.5″ H. The “Exterior Dimensions: 7 3/4″ L x 4 1/4″ D x 7 1/2″H” posted @ Amazon are misleading. (This Opteka holster is smaller than this on the inside. It needs to be, at least, another .5″ longer.)
I returned it requesting a refund.

I fretted over finding “the perfect camera bag” for too long. With this sucker being $10, I decided “what the heck” and tried it. It is an outstanding value at $10, and it sold me on the idea of using a 2-bag solution — one for the camera with a default lens mounted and one for the rest of my lenses. I cannot recommending such a combination enough. I have a Pentax K100D and my default lens is a Pentax AF 28-105mm f/4.0-5.6. I keep my DA 18-55mm f/3.6-5.6, DA 50-200mm f/4.0-5.6 and Zenitar FE 16mm f/2.8 in my separate lens bag (although all of those lenses will fit on the camera in the holster).
The front area is great for temporarily storing caps, filters, etc… The top handle is nice, as is the strap — nice to have both. Although it can go on a belt, it’s just too big to sit with it on such. It also looks like that belt loops would eventually give way under the strain. I also agree with another poster than not having a camera brand name splattered all over it draws less attention to the bag, which is a bonus. If you absolutely have to sport your camera brand name, just leave the camera straps themselves danging out or wrapped around the top handle (which I do myself, to make it easier to pull out).
If you have a full frame or large lens, then this may not be big enough. Just FYI. You need to be using a more modern, more compact dSLR and its lenses. While it does fit my APS-C sensor sized (24mm x 16mm) Pentax K100D plus full-frame-sized (standard 35mm compatible) Pentax AF 28-105mm f/4.0-5.6, it won’t fit much bigger.

Fits my Canon Digital Rebel XT perfectly (with the lens it came with). Definitely holds JUST the camera, but sometimes minimalism is a good thing. Also, nice that it’s made out of all man-made materials. It’s really sturdy, and great for the price.

I bought this for those times when I was taking just our Nikon D40 with 1 lens attached to the camera body (standard 55mm or a zoom 200mm lens). While the case is not leather, it isn’t expensive either. It’s perfect for when I want the camera protected when I toss it into a backpack or carry it otherwise unprotected. I do have a regular gadget bag, but if you don’t need a spare lens and any other misc equipment and want to be minimally encumbered but still enjoy the quality of your D-SLR pictures, this is a great and compact way to protect the camera. One note of caution: I don’t think you could squeeze a lens longer than the Nikon 200mm in without potentially putting too much pressure on the LED screen when the case is zipped.

Pros: nice quality, cheap, fantastic looking (everyone asked me where did i buy it)
Cons: low quality zipper.
Note: Nikon D90 with 18-105 fits, Canon Repel T1i with 18-55 fits well.
