I want to take my digital camera (Panasonic DMC or DCM, can’t recall which) on a cold weather hike with me, but I am worried that the extreme temp will damage it. I do have a case for it, but it’s not insultated. I would plan on being outside in anywhere from 30-20 degree farenheit weather for maybe 3 or 4 hours. I’m not worried about snow, just the cold temp.

I am wanting to purchase a couple of lenses for a friend’s bday. What is a good Macro Lense? Good recommendation for a lense for outdoor sport photography? Thanks!

Next year, my dad is planning to walk the kokoda trail, and I plan to buy him a digital camera/video camera for him to take. I need some help in finding one which will meet his travel needs. It needs to be light weight, take good quality pictures and video. Waterproof (if possible, or, comes with the option of waterproof casing). Any ideas from anyone would be greatly appreciated…

It almost looks as though I’m holding my hand over the bottom of the lense. There are no funny sounds, it sounds as though it always has. I’ve taken thousands of pics w/this camera, is it just worn out, or fixable? I’ve changed lenses, and it still does the same thing. It just started today, in the middle of taking pics. I haven’t dropped it, not frozen or high humidity. It’s been to China and back (literally), and I’ve taken tons of pics. Is it fixable? What do you think the problem is?

I have a Revere 33 stereoscopic camera and a Minolta III Flash/Light meter. I do not have a flash for either device currently, but I would like to get one. Do I have to get a flash device compatible with the Minolta II, or the stereo camera? I assume the flash meter, so that it can determine the current light with the flash.
In any case, what flash device would be compatible? Thanks.
