i am a beginner into SLR photography and there are two bundles that I am looking at . They are the same bundle with the same 75-300mm lense, however the 450d bundle is £120 more at £664.
What I want to know at the moment is, is it worth paying that extra amount of money for the 450d.
I will be using the camerea for movement sports such as motorsport and football as well as general photography.
Would it be better to get the 1000d and then upgrade to a better camera thatn the 450d?

I’m confused about getting the right Lense. I’m thinking of getting a full range lense 18 – 200mm. Does this cover lenses that are 18 – 55mm, 50mm and 75 – 300 mm. What is the difference if you get this lenses separate than getting a 18 – 200mm full range lense?

I really like the feel of the Canon camera, and I’m convinced that the image quality is better, from seeing some samples online (correct me if you find otherwise), but I am facing a dilemma in that my father, an ex-photographer has three older Nikkor lenses: AF 70-210mm, AF Micro 60mm, AF 35-70mm, as well as an 260AF Flash, that I could ultimately all use with a Nikon camera, whether it be the D60 or the D80. Are the three lenses and the add-on flash worth changing my mind from an XSi to a Nikon camera? Also, which Nikon camera can deliver better image quality in respects to an 18-55mm VR lense?
Thank you all, and all answers are appreciated! :)

Hi guys,
We are looking at buying either the Canon 450D or the Canon 40D. I’m a beginner but keen to learn. I’ll be using the camera to take mostly shots of our little girl, with alot of these being indoor/low light shots. I was thinking that the Canon 50mm f/1.8 would be a good and inexpensive choice as Ive read that it is good for low light situations..? but I’m unsure of which lens would be a good 2nd lens for everyday indoor AND outdoor shots. I would like something with a small zoom for when the 50mm is not suitable.
I was thinking about getting either the 450D / 40D + 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM + 50mm f/1.8 is this a good option for me and what I am going to be using it for? or is there another lense around the same cost that would suit me better?
Any opinions on the 450D vs 40D…is the 40D worth the extra money?
Thanks for your help!

Which should I get for my first DSLR? The Canon EOS 450D is the same thing as the EOS Rebel XSi (N.A.) and the EOS Kiss X2 in Japan.
Which do you recommend and why? Which is more future proof? I’ll be getting the single lens kit for both. Or should I buy just the body and buy a better lense? I’ve heard bad things about the kit lenses.
